Recycled Fishing Net and Vintage Silk Handles
Travelling to special places, often free from mass tourism, sometimes still protected by indigenous people has given me the chance to understand the importance of revisiting existing material without producing any new.
Recycled fishing nets, turned them into lightweight sacs, similar to the indigenous bilum bags from Papua New Guinea, used for carrying babies or utensils for fishing. The Narlai Sacs are The Palmist’s way of giving back and celebrating indigenous cultures, from which Clementina gains so much knowledge. Each Sac is one-of-a-kind.
